Freedom of Action

When faced with injustice there are two kinds of action. One is to move outwardly to right the wrong, while the other is to turn inward to change the self. One way is not more justified than the other.

Moving outwardly is seen when people are faced with an unjust government. They express the courage to fight for what they believe in. Oftentimes, they sacrifice their lives for what should be the benefit for the greater good-too often, it serves private agendas. While this courage to defend is commendable, other’s need courage to fight their inner battles.

Of the outward way, the Tao says is to concern oneself with death, while the inward expression of ones courage is to encounter life. Who can say which one is better?

Under Universal Law or the Laws of Spirit, we find that there is no aggressiveness to change things and yet everything changes.

“Which way would you follow?”

Celestial force does not push, yet it overcomes everything. It does not provoke or go to war. Instead its energy is cooperative with everything that happens. It makes little fuss, is quiet in its methods and is thoroughly effective.

The net of Spiritual Will is cast keeping all things in rhythmic balance.

For this year, observe the resistances both outside and inside you. “Does your resistance play out aggressively against or in cooperation with? Notice how your reactions create circumstances that reflect you. Is what you see positive or negative?”

The idea of freedom of action is not about being moot, inactive or passive. Rather it concerns the style of energy that we each use to greet the world. “Do you aggressively plow through life missing the subtleties or do you take the time to notice and feel?" "Are you using all your energy to move against or are you using it to build anew?"

When we allow what is-that is without having to be in control, there is freedom of action-of having “to do.” When we take the time to breathe and slow down a bit we re-learn the art of “being.”

Being is to live in the present in rhythm with the greater flow of invisible Spiritual force and its unfolding mystery-to nourish and refine the senses without expense to the Soul- to care for the Soul and let the senses enjoy what is felt.

This space of being fully in the present is where we experience the true gift of life. This year experiment and determine for yourself, which energy is more effortless in making effective change personally and socially.

How do you choose to greet the world?

"What this power is I cannot say;
all I know is that it exists and it becomes available only when a man/woman is in that state of mind in which he knows exactly what he / she wants and is fully determined not to quit until he finds it."
