This is a prank on a "grand" scale. Over 200 people gathered at Grand Central Station in New York to pull off a 'frozen in place' act. The onlooking travelers who weren't part of the act were mystified as to what was going on. I would wonder, too!

The Hemp Cure~ Run From the Cure is a series of seven short videos, Rick Simpson tells the story of a cure that is based on the hemp plant. Since hemp got in the way of DuPont's Nylon in the early part of the 20th century, the plant has been demonized, classified as dangerous, called a drug, and growers have been punished for seeding it. Apart from obvious uses of hemp as a source of fiber and seeds as a nutritious food, the flower buds can be processed into an extract with curative properties.

Not all televisions are digital-ready and an estimated 21 million American households may see their televisions go black. You do not need to go out and buy a new television set to be ready for this change. Japanese Whaling, An Unnecessary Slaughter-if you thought the days of spearing an animal were over, think again. The Japanese whaling fleet left Japan at the end of November on what they call a scientific expedition. The aim: to kill nearly 1000 minke and fin whales, and had planned to harpoon 50 humpback whales.

Consumer Organizations Launch Campaign Demanding Right to Referendums- Six non-governmental organizations (NGOs), collectively representing consumers from all 27 European Union (EU) countries, today announced the official launch of a campaign for citizens to have the right to vote in referendums whenever significant changes to laws affecting them are made at either national or European level. In particular, they are demanding that all EU citizens should immediately be given the opportunity to vote in referendums on the Lisbon Treaty. Take Action.
