Accelerated
Developmental Cycles
|
Most
people I notice are going through re-evolutionary changes
in their lives. They are either embarking upon a new cycle
or ending an old one. Whatever cyclic process we are in
there is no mis-take that personal monumental changes are
abound. I am not speaking of the change rhetoric spouted
by presidential electorates where things on the surface
appear different, but the underlying pattern stays the same.
Instead, the kind of change I am referring to challenges
us to confront our conditioned patterns in the way we live,
relate and react in the world. While one cyclic process
sloughs away to accommodate a fit for better service, the
other healing brings an end to a period of dis-ease. When
the latter shift is the case it is a “making life
anew” in our willingness to engage in forgiveness.
| Change
requires us to be receptive and invite in the new.
It also requires that we relinquish all that does
not support the highest and best in each of us, which
is a personal conquest that comes only from within
and always begins from where we are. This singular
act of release is fueled by a desire that welcomes
new healthy patterns of being and maintains the necessary
patience to adjust to them. Too often we give up and
slip back into old faulty patterns of living. If we
can only reconnect with our inner fortitude we recognize
that it is the glue that rejoins us to our highest
blueprint for living, consciously connecting us to
the sphere of Divine presence within and outside us.
Here the joy of presence flows unobstructed by our
mental ideations when we let go and forgive. |
|
Forgiveness
is a mental climate that heals, constructs bridges and breaks
down barriers. It binds the spiritual realms ever closer
to the human family. It builds right relationships in families,
groups, communities, nations and humanity itself—the
world of the soul revealing the element of true fellowship.
The more evolved have a greater depth of understanding and
natural willingness to engage in forgiveness because we
understand that no authentic relationship can exist unless
we eradicate divisive and narrow thinking and identify with
the inner light in all evolving forms. Relationship with
this inner light has been described as “the very breath
of life itself.” (Alice Bailey)
Embracing
change and relinquishing our faulty attitudes towards self
and others shows us how to breathe in life differently allowing
us to see with new eyes. Forgiveness is the healing balm,
while perception is the transformative power. What could
we possibly be waiting for?

AIRFORCE: A
Cancer Within-the
stated goal of the Air Force Academy is to train "leaders."
The noun constantly used in training is "warrior," as
in Christian warrior. David and Ryan have exposed the breadth
of Christian fundamentalist penetration into the chaplain corps
of the military. David said that the level of indoctrination of
officers is directly linked to the commssion of war crimes by
US forces in the Mid East wars.

FAREWELL,
MY SUBARU- What happens when a Domino’s pizza
loving suburbanite from New Jersey decides it's time to leave
behind the urban world to start his own off-the-grid sustainable
farm in New Mexico? Find out in "Farewell, My Subaru",
a new nonfiction book chronicling the carbon-neutral misadventures
of Doug Fine. Whether its nearly getting electrocuted setting
up his own solar panels, buying goats and hens for the first time,
or getting the munchies from the smell of his newly converted

Shrinking Influence of the US Federal Reserve- The
United States Federal Reserve Bank, or Fed, seems as much a part
of America as Coca-Cola or Pizza Hut. But at least one difference
has become apparent in recent days. While the pizza chain and soft-drink
maker are likely to expand their scope of influence in the age of
globalization, the US central bank is finding that its power is
shrinking. |

Non-Proliferation Treaty Turns Forty-July
1, 2008 marks the 40th anniversary of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation
Treaty (NPT) being opened for signatures. The true purpose of
this treaty has always been two-fold: to prevent nuclear proliferation
and to achieve nuclear disarmament; in other words, to create
a level playing field in which there are no nuclear weapons.
In the preamble to the treaty, the parties declare “their
intention to achieve...

Legislation Calls for Government Ownership of DNA-
An article published in the April 4,
2008 issue of World Net Daily outlines a plan that has state and
federal governments staking claim to the ownership of every newborn’s
DNA in perpetuity. This Orwellian like plan is advancing under
the radar of most privacy rights activists, as well as that of
most people. It would turn the U.S. citizenry into an enormous
pool of subjects for involuntary scientific experiments, claims
one organization alarmed over the issue. |

You Know What Plastic Recycling Symbols Mean?-Unfortunately,
the average consumer is buying more and more products packaged
in plastic. It's getting harder and harder to find non-plastic
containers. So what should the educated consumer do? Obviously,
buying products packaged in tin, glass or aluminum increases
recyclability and reduces toxins like BPA in our diets. I
don't recommend aluminum, but if you have to buy plastic,
what's the best option? We all know those little numbers on
plastic products identify the specific type of plastic. But
which ones are less toxic? Which ones are really getting recycled
as compared to those that get thrown into the bins destined
for the waste dump or underdeveloped countries? |

Sign the Climate Principles Letter:
A GOP filibuster blocked debate on a comprehensive global
warming law in the U.S. Senate, but this is not stopping
action in Congress. In the House, three leaders on climate
change are circulating a climate principles letter among
their colleagues which will be given to Speaker Nancy
Pelosi. Endorse a
science-based global warming bill now in the House of
Representatives, The Safe Climate Act (H.R. 1590, Henry
Waxman, D-CA-30).
If pursued wisely,
biofuels such as ethanol have the potential to play a
pivotal role in a clean transportation future.
But when issues such as fertilizer use, energy for processing,
and land use are taken into account, gallon for gallon,
current production methods for corn ethanol could actually
create more global warming pollution than today’s
gasoline. Take
Action on this issue!
